The Platz Strandhöft marks the tip of the Strandkai peninsula in the western HafenCity, offering sweeping views over the Elbphilharmonie and the Elbe River. Developed as part of the public space ensemble by EMBT, the plaza sits between the Elbe and the Grasbrookhafen, and features two historic harbour cranes, approximately 50 trees and an open-air stage for cultural events. The layout integrates accessible promenades and folding level changes: the dynamic terrain both invites gathering and responds to tidal influences, reinforcing the harbour-city interface with a new civic belvedere.
