EMBT Studio and Fundació Enric Miralles, Barcelona

EMBT Architects took part in Architecture Studio Sessions, a series inviting Barcelona-based architecture studios to open their workspaces and share their ideas and design processes through an intimate programme combining music and talks. Organised by World-Architects in collaboration with Labóh and L35, the series forms part of Barcelona 2026 – World Capital of Architecture.
For the session on 7 October 2026, the EMBT studio and the Enric Miralles Foundation opened their doors, offering visitors an insight into the spaces where EMBT’s work is developed.
The evening centred on a reading performance titled Mai per atzar, which took its name from the theatrical piece presented at the studio’s inauguration in 1997. Visitors were invited to move freely through the studio, experiencing the spaces at their own pace as texts were read aloud around them. Live music by the group Kafka wove together Balkan, folk and Latin influences, following the rhythms of texts by Benedetta Tagliabue and Enric Miralles.
