The Centro Direzionale Metro Station in Naples, designed by Miralles Tagliabue – EMBT Architects, has been awarded First Prize in the Public Facilities category (Equipamiento) at the Premios Arquitectura AyE 2025, organised by Arquitectura y Empresa. The award was presented during the Foro Contract XL, held in Benidorm on 24–25 September 2026, where Simone Contini represented EMBT Architects.
The project establishes a dialogue between Naples’ volcanic landscape and the existing urban framework designed by Kenzo Tange. Through its expressive laminated timber roof and a new pedestrian topography, the station transforms a transport infrastructure into a welcoming public space, bringing together architecture, nature and urban life.
