Benedetta Tagliabue gave a lecture entitled Building Environments of Care at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design, exploring the relationship between architecture, well-being and the spaces we inhabit.
The lecture considered the ways in which architecture can create a stronger sense of care within the city, looking at the connections between people, nature and the built environment. Ideas of renaturalisation, adaptive reuse and human-centred design provided a framework for discussing how existing urban environments can evolve and become more welcoming, resilient and connected to everyday life.
