Lungo Mare was first conceived in 1997 during a conversation between Enric Miralles, Benedetta Tagliabue and Emili Farré Escofet. “We wanted Lungo Mare to be as inviting as the beach and as comfortable as a sand dune or the waves on the sea… we wanted a piece of the beach itself, but made in concrete”.
