Benedetta Tagliabue, Francine Houben (Mecanoo), Stefano Boeri, Cino Zucchi and Ma Yansong (MAD Architects) have been invited to take part of an extensive urban regeneration program for the city of Milan.
This initiative organized by FS Sistemi Urbani, with the City of Milan, promotes a participatory, inclusive, collaborative and sustainable urban regeneration of disused railway areas.
The aim is to define a strategic vision for the transformation of the seven railway stations, located in key areas of the city, covering a total area of over one million square meters. The process will end with the presentation of five different scenarios of urban development.
The results will contribute to the discussion of the upcoming preparation of the guidelines by the municipality and the agreement with the FS and the Lombardy Region program.
